Fire Salts
Fire Salts are dropped by flame atronachs. Restore Magicka and Resist Fire are their most useful effects for brewing.

Location
Kill flame atronachs to collect the salts. Hjerim in Windhelm and Septimus Signus's Outpost each hold three samples. Alchemists sell them now and then.

Make Fire Salts at the Atronach Forge from a Ruby, a Salt Pile and a Soul Gem.
Notes
- Balimund asks for 10 Fire Salts for his forge in the quest Stoking the Flames.
- The forge at Fort Dawnguard uses them to craft exploding bolts of fire.
- In Survival Mode, Fire Salts are needed to cook hot soups and stews.
