Frost Salts are dropped by frost atronachs. Resist Frost and Restore Magicka are their most useful effects for brewing.

Location
Frost atronachs guard the Chill, the prison cave of Winterhold. Mistveil Keep in Riften holds three samples on its shelves. Alchemists sell the salts as well.

- Farengar Secret-Fire hands over a named sample for delivery to Arcadia in Salt for Arcadia.
- The forge at Fort Dawnguard uses them to craft exploding bolts of ice.
