Frostfire Mace is a Nord Mace reforged with a Frostfire Essence. It gives up 28 blunt in exchange for 88 frost and 12 fire, so it deals 242 damage in total against the Nord Mace's 170.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 4 Black Forge from these materials:
- 1x Nord Mace: made by hardening a Cast: Nord Mace with Liquid Frost in a Frost Foundry.
- 20x Bloodgold: smelted from Petrified Tissue in a Blast Furnace.
- 1x Frostfire Essence: dropped by Fallen Warriors, which you call up at a Memorial Site with three Memorial Coal.

| Bloodgold | Deep North | Blast Furnace | spawn Gold

| Frostfire Essence | Deep North | - | spawn OrbFrostFire

When to Use It
This is an end-game weapon. You need Fader dead before you can progress through the Deep North.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it twice at the Black Forge. Each step needs the station one level higher than the last: the first costs the per-level amount and the second costs twice that. Quality 4 would cost four times the per-level amount and needs a level 7 Black Forge, which is above the current maximum of 6, so that row is not yet available.

Properties
Its primary attack is a three-hit combo, and the last hit deals double damage. The slower secondary attack deals two and a half times the damage and twice the stagger.
It blocks with 66 armour and has a 2x parry bonus.
Holding it lowers your movement speed by 5%.
At quality 1 it deals 142 blunt, 12 fire and 88 frost, for 242 damage in total. That is 67% more than Klossen and Storm Star, which deal 145 at quality 1 and are the joint hardest-hitting weapons of their kind before the Deep North. Each upgrade adds 10 blunt, 3 fire and 3 frost. At quality 3 it reaches 162 blunt, 18 fire and 94 frost, or 274 in total.
A primary attack costs 16 stamina and the secondary costs 28. Its hits have a knockback force of 90.
It weighs 2 and has 400 durability, rising to 500 at quality 3.
Blocking gives you 66 armour, or 132 on a well-timed parry at 2x. Blocking a melee attack also knocks the attacker back with a block force of up to 30.
Against Deep North creatures, its three damage types land differently. Blunt deals extra damage to Skeletons and to Shapeless and Tiny Pulps. It deals full damage to Elakings, the Eyeless One, Deep North Greydwarves and their Shamans, Hexen, Krigen, Captive Fulings, Imprisoned Dvergr and Kall Fimbulbringer, and reduced damage to Barka, Fallen Warriors, Gammeltrolls and Moose. Fire deals extra damage to Deep North Greydwarves and their Shamans, Barka, Elakings, Skeletons, Hexen and Moose. It deals full damage to the Eyeless One, Krigen, Captive Fulings and Imprisoned Dvergr, reduced damage to Fallen Warriors, Shapeless and Tiny Pulps and Kall Fimbulbringer, and none at all to Gammeltrolls. Frost deals extra damage to Shapeless and Tiny Pulps. It deals full damage to Fallen Warriors, Deep North Greydwarves and their Shamans, Captive Fulings and Imprisoned Dvergr, and reduced damage to Barka, Elakings, the Eyeless One, Gammeltrolls, Skeletons, Moose, Kall Fimbulbringer, Hexen and Krigen.
Quality 4 needs a level 7 Black Forge, which is above the current maximum of 6, so in practice the mace stops at quality 3.
Crafting it from scratch and taking it to quality 3 costs 70 Bloodgold, 10 Timberwood and 4 Frostfire Essence in total, plus a mould and 5 Liquid Frost.
Notes
- The essence drops from Fallen Warriors, which you call up at a Memorial Site with three Memorial Coal.
- Once it reaches its last quality level, the Forge of Potential can push it further with a Bloodgold Battle Idol.
