The RC-7 Varkolak is a muzzle brake for Power assault rifles and submachine guns that builds the gun around ricochets. It raises the chance that a bullet bounces off a surface. It also adds to the ricochet angle of each bounce. It suits a character who sprays automatic fire at enemies behind cover. The RC-7 Varkolak is a mid game muzzle brake, since it comes from Tier 3.
Effect
A muzzle brake sits in a weapon's muzzle slot. Muzzle brakes add stats that help Power weapons. A Power weapon's bullets can ricochet off walls and other surfaces. A bounced shot can reach an enemy who stands out of direct line of sight.
The RC-7 Varkolak raises Ricochet Chance by 30% at Tiers 3 and 4. It also adds to the ricochet angle, by 7.5 degrees at Tier 3 and 10 degrees at Tier 4. The brake lowers Crit Chance by 3% at those tiers.
Tier 5 makes the ricochets stronger still. Ricochet Chance rises to 50%. The bonus ricochet angle rises to 15 degrees.
The RC-7 Varkolak is worth the slot on an automatic Power weapon, since every bullet in a burst rolls its own chance to bounce.

Upgrades
The RC-7 Varkolak comes in Tiers 3 to 5. Tier 5 raises Ricochet Chance and the ricochet angle. A muzzle brake can only go on a weapon of the same tier or a higher one. Muzzle attachments can be taken off a gun and moved to another one at any time.
Character Builds
The RC-7 Varkolak suits a Reflexes build with automatic Power weapons. Ready, Rested, Reloaded lowers the Stamina cost of shooting assault rifles and submachine guns. Spray And Pray lowers the Stamina cost of hip fire. Shoot To Chill adds Armor Penetration for automatic weapons for each stack of Sharpshooter.
Lore
The in-game description says the RC-7 Varkolak will not guarantee a shot on target, but it will certainly help. Every brake in the RC-7 line carries the same line of text.
