Chinook is a BARGHEST assault rifle built on the Tsunami Kyubi, and it gets stronger as V picks up speed. Kills and dismemberments add movement speed, and that speed raises the rifle's damage. It works best in a Reflexes build that shoots on the move and dashes between cover. As a BARGHEST weapon, it also has extra armor penetration. Chinook is a Phantom Liberty rifle from the Dogtown airdrops, part of the BARGHEST weapon family.
Combat
Like the Kyubi, Chinook is a Power assault rifle, and its rounds can ricochet off hard surfaces. The Iconic effect adds speed with every kill or dismemberment. The bonus stacks for a short while. Higher movement speed means each shot deals more damage. Several quick kills in a row make the rifle hit harder.
The bonus fades soon after the last kill. Chinook rewards fast, steady kills against a group. Its armor penetration helps against armoured enemies.

Character Builds
Chinook works best with the assault rifle perks in the Reflexes tree. Gundancer removes the aiming slowdown, so V stays fast while firing. Multitasker allows shooting while sprinting, sliding and vaulting. Sharpshooter improves weapon control and gains a bonus stack with each hit. Shoot To Chill adds armor penetration for each stack. Salt In The Wound adds bonus damage after hitting the same target several times in a row with an assault rifle.
The Leeroy Ligament System raises movement speed, which also raises the rifle's damage bonus. The Kerenzikov slows time when V aims during a slide, dodge or Dash. That slowed moment is a good time to fire a burst on the move.

Chinook is the Iconic variant of the Tsunami Kyubi, painted in BARGHEST colours. The BARGHEST militia under Kurt Hansen holds Dogtown. Its Iconic weapons drop from the supply airdrops that land in the district.
