The Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword is a Colossal Sword in Elden Ring.
When to Use It
Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Land of Shadow in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.
Why Players Pick It
Shadow of the Erdtree weapon and the class's second-highest max standard physical at 377, plus 112 magic, with 164 stance damage. It is the only Colossal Sword with Arcane scaling and its Standard/Pierce damage type gives it a thrust the older Colossal Swords lack.
Upgrades
It takes Somber Smithing Stones rather than the common kind, one per level up to +10, and it keeps its own skill for good: no Ash of War will replace it and no affinity will re-cut its scaling.
Skill
White Light Charge costs 10 / 25 FP. Summons white light from the crevice in the weapon's ancient meteoric ore, using its power for a charging attack which pierces foes. Additional input causes the light to explode. It belongs to this weapon alone: no Ash of War will move it onto anything else, and nothing will replace it here.
Build
Its scaling runs Str at D, Dex at E and Arc at D, so Str and Arc are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 35, Dex 10 and Arc 19 before you can lift it. Because the skill is its own, the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round.

- The altar is found on the second level. To reach the altar, you must pull the lever to make the iron door rise, and use it as a platform to jump across to the second level where the altar is.
