Golden Seed is an upgrade material in Elden Ring.
A Golden Seed is a bolstering material that adds charges to the Sacred Flasks. Seeds sit at the base of small glowing golden saplings across the Lands Between. Tree Spirit bosses and minibosses also drop them. Extra flask charges help in every fight, so seeds are worth collecting from the first hours of a run.
Use
Seeds are used at any Site of Grace through the Flasks menu, with the Add charge to flask option. Each upgrade adds one use to the Sacred Flasks, up to 14 uses in total. Later upgrades need more seeds than early ones.
"A golden seed, found at the base of an illusory tree. Increases a Sacred Flask's number of uses. (Can be used after resting at a site of grace.) When the Elden Ring was shattered, these seeds flew from the Erdtree, scattering across the various lands, as if life itself knew that its end has come."

- Under a glowing sapling on the path from Stormgate to Stormhill Shack.
- By the entrance of Fort Haight in Limgrave.
- Near the room where Nepheli Loux waits in Stormveil Castle, by the Secluded Cell Site of Grace.
- Under a glowing sapling at the end of the broken bridge north of the Main Academy Gate Site of Grace.
- Past the Manor Upper Level Site of Grace in Caria Manor.
- 2 under a glowing sapling by the Outer Wall Phantom Tree Site of Grace in the Capital Outskirts.
- In the northern part of Sellia, Town of Sorcery.
- Southeast of the Dragon Temple Rooftop Site of Grace in Crumbling Farum Azula.
- It drops from Kenneth Haight.
- The Ulcerated Tree Spirit in Fringefolk Hero's Grave drops it.
- The Putrid Tree Spirit in the War-Dead Catacombs drops it.
- The Ulcerated Tree Spirit in Giants' Mountaintop Catacombs drops it.
- An Ulcerated Tree Spirit in the lower area of Stormveil Castle drops it.

Notes
- It is one of the keepsakes on offer during character creation.
- Another seed appears in Stormhill Shack once Roderika leaves for Roundtable Hold.
- Seeds raise the shared pool of uses for the Flask of Crimson Tears and the Flask of Cerulean Tears.
