Obsidian Ore is a minable Material Resource in Enshrouded obtained from mining the shiny black Obsidian Ore nodes.
The Hardest Material known to mankind. Difficult to work with, but worth the effort!
How to get the Obsidian Ore
Obsidian Ore can only only be found in a few places on the map, and without knowing where to look, you might spend hours searching for them. To help, here are the top spots to find Obsidian in Enshrouded.
- To reach the first Obsidian mine location, glide west from the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire, towards the natural stone bridge, located directly northeast of the Mining Rift. You will see some carts and barrels with tall mushrooms. When you go under the natural stone bridge, look to your left, and you will see a bunch of black stones. This is the location of the first Obsidian Ore Mine.
- The second Obsidian Ore farming location features two spots close to each other where you can find Obsidian Ore. Begin at the northern spot, which you can reach by gliding from the Nomad Highlands Ancient Spire. Upon reaching the mountain's peak, as you head towards the Sun Temple, you'll come across a small hunter camp. There, by mining the inside wall, you'll not only obtain Limestone but also discover a chest. Just to the left of this chest, further into the wall, you'll find Obsidian Ore. After gathering the Ore from this spot, glide southward. You'll spot another stone arch that looks similar to the first. Beneath this arch, among carts and barrels, you'll find another stash of Obsidian Ore on the left side.
- Note that you can reset the mining locations by quitting back to the main menu and re-joining your private sever/leaving as the host and then re-joining the game world.
Obsidian Crafting Recipe's
Currently you can only craft the Kettle with obsidian in early access. No other weapons or armor have been added to the game that make use of the ore.
