Notes and Letters are part of the Info items in Elden Ring.

Notes

Most notes are sold by nomadic and isolated merchants for a small sum of runes. Many give a combat tip, such as killing a demi-human leader first or using poison on land squirts. Others point to a secret place, like the hidden cave in Sellia or Seluvis's cellar. A few notes are found on corpses instead of bought.

Note: Miquella's Needle and Note: The Lord of Frenzied Flame both tie into the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending.

Letters and Maps

The Volcano Manor letters name Tarnished to hunt and mark their invasion signs on the map. Completing each hunt earns rewards from Tanith, Patches or Bernahl and unlocks the next letter. Simple maps like the Meeting Place Map and the Weathered Map lead to a single hidden item. The Knifeprint Clue from Fia points to the Black Knife Catacombs.

Rogier's Letter and Zorayas's Letter close out the stories of those characters.
