The Star-Lined Sword is a Katana in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Cerulean Coast in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.

Upgrades

Upgrades with Somber Smithing Stones to +10, one stone per level.
Keeps its own skill permanently.

Skill

Onze's Line of Stars costs 10 / 8 / 8 FP.

This skill, named after a demi-human swordmaster, imbues sorcerous energy into lined glintstones and executes a slash attack. Repeated inputs allow for up to two follow-up attacks, each dealing greater damage than the last.
Unique to this weapon. It cannot be moved onto another weapon, and no Ash of War can replace it.

Build

It scales Str E, Dex C, Int D, so Dex is where the levels go.

Requires Str 10, Dex 23, Int 21.
Takes no Ash of War and no affinity, so the build has to come to the weapon rather than the other way round.
Inflicts blood loss buildup (45), without any infusion needed.

Sword encrusted with a line of stars fashioned from small pieces of crude glintstone. Weapon of the demi-human swordsmen.
When bestowed with this weapon by their queen, the swordsmen swear to find the truth that lies at the end of the procession of stars.
