Aeonian Butterfly is a crafting material in Elden Ring.
The Aeonian Butterfly is a withered scarlet butterfly tied to the scarlet rot. It lives in the Swamp of Aeonia in Caelid, around the Lake of Rot and in Miquella's Haligtree. Its item text links it to the wings of the Goddess of Rot. It is the key ingredient for rot pots, rot grease and rotbone arrows and bolts.
Gathering
The butterflies sit in rot-soaked places, often deep in the swamp or beside the lake. The ones picked up in the world do not come back after a rest at a Site of Grace. A steady supply comes from the Basilisks at the Lake of Rot or from a merchant in Caelid.
