Fallingstar Beast is a dungeon boss in Elden Ring.

The Fallingstar Beast is a hulking quadruped of black star-rock that crashed into the Lands Between from far away. One waits at the end of the Sellia Crystal Tunnel in Caelid, and another lies in a crater on the Altus Plateau. A third, far stronger beast lurks by the Finger Ruins of Dheo in Scaduview. It hits hard, moves fast and shrugs off physical blows.

Lore

The beast is formed of shiny black rock, with patches of white fur, insect-like mandibles and a spiked tail. It is found in craters, as if it plummeted from a great distance.

Fallingstar beasts bend gravity like the star lords and the Withered Astel, and gravity sorcery is said to come from their lightless home far beyond.

Attacks

Head Swings: swipes of its mandibles in many directions; keep distance or dodge to its sides.
Tail Sweep: it pivots and sweeps its tail along the ground; roll through once the tail lands.
Fore and Hind Stomps: it rears and slams its legs down; back away and wait out the combo.
Gouge: it drives its mandibles into the ground and tears forward; roll diagonally forward and aside.
Bite: it hops back, clicks its mandibles and lunges to crush its prey; dodge right as it swoops, then hit its face.
Rock Throw and Rock Sweep: it flings sprays of rock with its head or tail; guard or roll forward through them.
Gravity Bolts: purple lightning gathers under its target before stone spikes erupt, three times in growing areas; sprint clear and roll at the edge of the last one.

Tactics

Stay two or three body lengths away and wait for openings.
Aim at its face and rump, which take extra damage.
When its stance breaks, land a few heavy hits on its exposed face before the critical hit.
Hit its face with a thrown pot while it charges to knock it down.
Block its physical attacks with a shield that stops all physical damage.
Summon spirits that deal elemental damage.
