Red Wolf of Radagon is a great boss in Elden Ring.
The Red Wolf of Radagon is a huge red wolf that guards the debate parlor of the Academy of Raya Lucaria. It must fall before the way opens to Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, at the heart of the Academy. The wolf darts around the room, bites from afar and fights with a golden sword held in its jaws. It also fills the air with homing glintblades.
Lore
The Red Wolf is a giant wolf with red fur adorned with jewels. It grips a magical golden sword in its jaws and casts glintblade sorceries as it leaps.
The wolf was once the companion of Radagon while he was wed to Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon. It stayed behind when Radagon left the Academy to marry Queen Marika.

Attacks
- Bite: it steps in and bites; roll forward, step back or block.
- Rearing Bite: it rears on its hind legs and plunges its head down; roll forward and punish the long recovery.
- Leaping Bite: it leaps past and turns around; roll forward as its head drops.
- Golden Blade: it conjures a golden sword and swings it in wide arcs; roll with the swing or block with a full guard shield.
- Blade Plunge: it corkscrews into the air and slams the sword down; roll forward as it falls, then strike.
- Magic Glintblade and Glintblade Dash: it leaves floating blades that fire after a delay; keep moving sideways until they are spent.
- Glintstone Cometshard: it jumps and fires a large magic shard; run under it or roll at the top of the jump.
Tactics
- Stay reactive and punish only the long recoveries of the Rearing Bite, Blade Plunge and Cometshard.
- Hold a shield that blocks all physical damage, since every melee attack is physical.
- Stop attacking while glintblades hover and focus on dodging.
- Push it into a corner to limit its dodges against ranged attacks.
- Summon sturdy or ranged Spirit Ashes, or Sorceress Sellen, to draw its attacks.
- Use close range spells or physical weapons that scale with Intelligence or Faith, since it resists magic.
