Grimsever is a enchanted Glass Sword that you can get early at level 1 in The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. Since its a unique version of the Glass Sword it has a base damage of 12, making it one of the best one handed swords available early. During the quest to obtain the sword you can also get an exstreamly powerful follower Mjoll the Lioness.

How to Get Grimsever Location Guide
Where to find Grimsever Location?
To find Grimsever in Skyrim you must travel to Riften Marketplace where you can find Mjoll the Lioness. If you talk to her about Grimsever she will give you a new miscellaneous quest to find her lost sword Grimsever. Grimsever can be found within the Mzinchaleft Gatehouse (as seen in the video above). Once the Dragonborn reaches the end of the dungeon and defeats the Dwarven Centurion, Grimsever can be found on the ground behind it. After the Dragonborn returns Grimsever to Mjoll, the quest is finished and Mjoll can be recruited as a companion. You can then trade with her and take the unique Sword Grimsever from her inventory for yourself, since it is no longer a quest item.

Weapon Levels
Some weapons in Skyrim are Levelled. The power of a levelled weapon is based on your charcters level when you get them. Some get stronger in both physical and magical aspects, while others only improve their enchantments. These items don't get better as your character levels up.
The Grimsever is not a leveled weapon.
