The Ballistic Coprocessor makes Power weapon bullets bounce reliably. It raises the ricochet chance of Power weapons and shows where each ricochet will go. From Tier 2 onward, ricochets also hit harder. That lets V shoot enemies who hide behind cover by bouncing bullets off walls and floors. It suits any build that uses Power weapons, and it costs almost no capacity. The Ballistic Coprocessor arrives at the very start of the game, when Viktor Vektor installs it during the main job The Ripperdoc, and every ripperdoc sells it afterwards.
Effect
The Ballistic Coprocessor is a passive implant. Power weapons can bounce their bullets off hard surfaces. Without the implant, those ricochets are rare and hard to predict. With it, Power weapon bullets ricochet far more often. The implant also shows a preview of the path a ricochet will take. V can then aim at a wall or floor and send the bullet into an enemy behind cover.
From Tier 2 onward, ricochets deal extra damage. The bonus starts below a tenth. At Tier 5++ it reaches nearly a third.
The implant is attuned to Technical Ability. Each Technical Ability point adds a small bonus to ricochet damage. A character with full Technical Ability gains two percent more ricochet damage.

Upgrades
The Ballistic Coprocessor comes in every tier from Tier 1 to Tier 5++. Tier 2 adds the ricochet damage bonus, and each later step raises it. The capacity cost stays tiny and the same at every tier. Ripperdocs stock a higher tier every ten levels, from Tier 2 at level 10 to Tier 5 at level 40. A ripperdoc can upgrade it with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++.
The table shows what each tier step of Ballistic Coprocessor costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
The Ballistic Coprocessor belongs in any build that uses Power weapons. The ricochet preview helps most against enemies who stay behind cover.
The implant sits in the Hands slot. The Hands slot holds only one implant at first. The Technical Ability perk Ambidextrous unlocks a second Hands slot. With that perk, V can keep the Ballistic Coprocessor and add another hand implant. Its tiny capacity cost means it almost never pushes another implant out.
Select a Build
Dashes carry the character behind enemy lines to cut groups apart with blades. Finishers restore Stamina, so the Sandevistan is turned off before each one. High Mitigation from Countershell, NeoFiber and Spring Joints cuts most incoming damage.

The Sandevistan slows time so a whole group can drop one headshot at a time. A silenced pistol handles quiet kills before a fight, and a shotgun deals with enemies that get close.

Lore
The database entry describes the Ballistic Coprocessor as a coprocessor with an integrated servomotor system. The implant links V's weapon to V's optics. That link gives real-time tracking of the weapon's status. It also shows a preview of each ricochet's path. Viktor installs it together with V's first Kiroshi optics. During The Ripperdoc, V draws a weapon at his request to test the new hand cyberware.
