Isaac is a human apothecary who runs Isaac's Wares in Bakbattahl with his family close by. Not content with a quiet life, he studies a grimoire in the hope of bettering his lot, and the Arisen is drawn in after buying from his shop.
Story
Isaac's eyesight is failing, and he needs a Ripened Quince to keep reading the grimoire On the Transference of Souls. Once he has the fruit, he asks for the grimoire's second volume. His wife and daughter ask the Arisen to stop helping him. If Isaac receives the genuine second volume, the ritual he performs at home destroys his wife and daughter, and he leaves his shop behind. If he is handed a forgery instead, his ambitions come to nothing and he settles back into his life as an apothecary.
