Jarle is an eccentric human researcher in Bakbattahl who studies the effects of poison on living bodies. He lives at Jarle's Home beside The Rockmouse's Burrow, and he asks the Arisen to serve as his test subject in A Poisonous Proposal.
Story
Jarle is so devoted to his research that he wants a living specimen to study. He first has the Arisen poisoned by an asp and then by a venin harpy, studying the venom each time. Not content with watching, he then resolves to feel the venom of a chimera for himself, and the Arisen must see that the beast poisons him without killing him.

Jarle lives in Bakbattahl, at Jarle's Home next to The Rockmouse's Burrow.

A Poisonous Proposal Quest Guide
- Speak to Jarle at Jarle's Home, beside The Rockmouse's Burrow in Bakbattahl.
- Find the asps north of Bakbattahl and let one poison the Arisen. Keep pawns from curing the poison.
- Return to Jarle while still poisoned so he can study the venom.
- Find a venin harpy, let it poison the Arisen, and return to Jarle while the poison lasts.
- Meet Jarle at the chimera's lair and let the snake on the chimera's tail poison him. Keep the chimera alive until he is poisoned, and protect him from its other attacks.
- Check on Jarle back at his home to finish the quest and receive the Ring of Purification.
