Rook is a pawn held at the Excavation Site, toiling alongside the Arisen at the start of the journey. The Arisen meets him while working the dig as a prisoner.
Story
Rook works the dig with the other prisoners under the overseer Fiska. He has the Arisen carry a boulder back to him. When a Gorgon attacks the site, the Arisen helps fight it off, then flees with Rook and leaps from a cliff to escape.
Location
Rook is met at the Excavation Site during Gaoled Awakening.
Quests
In Gaoled Awakening, the first quest of the game, Rook works beside the Arisen in the dig and flees with the Arisen after the Gorgon's attack.
Relationships
Rook is a fellow prisoner of the Arisen under the overseer Fiska.
Notes
- A pawn named Rook also appears in the first Dragon's Dogma and looks much the same, which may make them the same pawn.
- His name is a nod to the chess piece, like the word "pawn" itself.
