Rothais is a beastren, the founding Sovran of Vermund, whose soul waits in the Seafloor Shrine off the coast of Harve Village. The Arisen meets him after the shrine rises from the sea, and he hands over the blade that becomes the Godsbane.
Story
While the Rivage Elder tells his tale, a shrine rises from the seabed off Harve Village and a passage opens in the depths of Stormwind Cave. At the heart of the shrine the Arisen finds Rothais. He entrusts the Arisen with the Dulled Godsbane Blade, a blade forged from his own soul, and urges the Arisen to take it to Battahl, where its magick may unlock the blade's full potential. In the Unmoored World, Rothais, now called the Mad Sovran, is found again in the Sacred Grounds of the Seafloor Shrine. Together with Luz, he charges the Arisen with leading the people of the land to the shrine as a refuge from the coming destruction.
