Beren is a beastren warrior who trains recruits at the Borderwatch Outpost on the border of Vermund. He is the Warrior Maister, and the Arisen earns his teaching by helping him through Claw Them Into Shape and Beren's Final Lesson.
Story
Beren is a skilled warrior, yet his presence at the encampment seems to discourage new recruits. He asks the Arisen for weapons and for a willing soldier to train. After a bout with the Arisen, news comes of an attack on soldiers outside the outpost, and Beren rushes off to find them wounded by a cyclops. The officers decide to dismiss Beren over the attack on the recruits. Just as his dismissal is decided, the cyclops returns. Once it is defeated, Beren hands the Arisen his greatsword, Lifetaker, and leaves for his childhood home south of Checkpoint Rest Town. There he passes on his skill in Champion's Fable.
Location
Beren lives at the Borderwatch Outpost. During Claw Them Into Shape he is found at Beren's Tent by Moonglow Garden, and if he is not there he may be at the outpost's training grounds or back at the tent at night. After Beren's Final Lesson he moves to Beren's Childhood Home, south of Checkpoint Rest Town.
