The Axe of Godfrey is the weapon of Godfrey, Elden Lord, broken in a battle he fought as leader of the Tarnished during the Long March, and it symbolizes his vow to conduct himself as a lord, later becoming an emblem of the golden lineage. It is obtained by trading the Remembrance of Hoarah Loux with Enia at the Roundtable Hold. Its unique skill, Regal Roar, lets loose a war cry that raises attack power and sends out a stomping shockwave that cannot be guarded, then turns strong attacks into lunging slashes while it lasts. It needs 42 Strength, scales with Strength and Dexterity at D, and its scaling leans slightly toward Strength.

How to Get Axe of Godfrey Guide

It is traded for the Remembrance of Hoarah Loux with Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold. The remembrance drops from Godfrey, First Elden Lord in Leyndell, Ashen Capital.

1. Defeat Godfrey, First Elden Lord in Leyndell, Ashen Capital, including his second form as Hoarah Loux, to obtain the Remembrance of Hoarah Loux.
2. Travel to the Roundtable Hold.
3. Talk to Finger Reader Enia and choose to exchange remembrances.
4. Select the Remembrance of Hoarah Loux and choose the Axe of Godfrey.
5. To take the other reward as well, first duplicate the remembrance at a Wandering Mausoleum.

Regal Roar costs 25 FP. The wielder lets out a mighty war cry that staggers nearby foes, then stomps the ground to send out a shockwave that cannot be guarded against. The roar grants a 40 second weapon buff raising physical attack power, and while it lasts strong attacks turn into stomps and lunging slashes, with the stomps also sending out unblockable shockwaves. The Roar Medallion, the Highland Axe and the Shattered Stone Talisman add to the damage of these attacks. No other weapon carries this skill, and it cannot be replaced.
