The Gazing Finger is a Colossal Weapon in Elden Ring. It is part of the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

The Gazing Finger is the head of Metyr, Mother of Fingers, wielded as a weapon without modification, and is received by trading her remembrance with Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold. It is the lightest weapon in its class and deals Strike damage, with an overhead slam heavy attack that mirrors one of Metyr's own attacks. Its unique skill, Kowtower's Resentment, drives the finger into a violent bow until its resentment explodes, and holding the button builds a larger blast. It scales mainly with Strength, with Intelligence and a little Faith adding to its magic damage. It suits a Strength character with some Intelligence who wants colossal reach at a modest weight.

Stats

The Gazing Finger is the lightest colossal weapon at 15.0 weight with the class's lowest Strength requirement, plus 133 physical and 86 magic with C Strength and D Intelligence. That makes it the Intelligence hybrid option, with Kowtower's Resentment as its skill. It upgrades with Somber stones and cannot be infused.

How to Get Gazing Finger Guide

It is traded for the Remembrance of the Mother of Fingers with Finger Reader Enia at the Roundtable Hold. The remembrance drops from Metyr, Mother of Fingers beneath the Cathedral of Manus Metyr.

  1. Defeat Metyr, Mother of Fingers in the ruins beneath the Cathedral of Manus Metyr to obtain the Remembrance of the Mother of Fingers.
  2. Travel to the Roundtable Hold.
  3. Talk to Finger Reader Enia and choose to exchange remembrances.
  4. Select the Remembrance of the Mother of Fingers and choose the Gazing Finger.
  5. To take the other reward as well, first duplicate the remembrance at a Wandering Mausoleum.

Skill

Kowtower's Resentment costs 31 FP. The wielder slams the finger down in a violent bow, then pulls it back up to unleash a wave of holy energy that travels across the ground. Holding the button builds more resentment for a longer reaching, harder hitting wave. The slam uses the weapon's attack power, while the wave deals holy damage scaling with Faith, and the Godfrey Icon does not boost the held version. The skill is unique to this weapon and cannot be swapped out.

"Skill performed as a violent bow using a finger's foremost protrusion. Resentment builds as it is forced to bow, making it explode with anger. Hold button down to further increase resentment."

Suggested Build

Fight with heavy slams and charge Kowtower's Resentment when an opening allows the full held blast.
