The best one-handed weapon weapon to get early in The Elder Scrolls:V Skyrim at level one, is the Ebony War Axe. This is the most powerful War Axe that you can get at early game without doing any lengthily quests to get it. Interestingly the Ebony War Axe does the same damage as a the Daedric War Axe!

How to Get the Ebony War Axe Early
Where to find the Ebony War Axe Location?
- You can get an Ebony War Axe at level 1 in Skyrim within Volskygge ruin by following the video guide above. After reaching the end of Volskygge dungeon you will find a Draugr Overlord who could either be wielding an Ebony Sword or Ebony War Axe that can be looted from him once he#s defeated.
- At level 21, in Dead Men's Respite, the dungeon boss Olaf One-Eye will have an Ebony sword or Ebony War Axe.
- Once you reach level 36 Unenchanted Ebony Swords will begin to appear throughout Skyrim and enchanted swords can be found at level 37. They will appear in random loot chests, enemies or for sale at the various merchants around Skyrim. They are commonly used by Draugr Overlords in Nordic dungeons once the player reaches this level.
- The Draugr Boss at the Arcwind Point has a high chance to spawn with an Ebony War Axe when the player is over level 21.
Gameplay Tips
- Considering you can get the Ebony Axe at level 1, it can serve as the best weapon for warrior or spell sword builds.
