When to Use It

Shadow of the Erdtree. It is found around Land of Shadow in the expansion, which opens only once Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood are beaten.

Why Players Pick It

Shadow of the Erdtree addition with the lowest Strength requirement in the class at 12, the cheapest way to buy into greatsword reach mid-run. Infusable, and 's max Keen table gives it B Dexterity at 314 physical.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at D, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 12 and Dex 14 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling.

Notes

A peculiar weapon carried by Imps. Greatsword smithed in the shape of a fork-tongued lizard. Strong attacks allow the wielder to fire the forked tongue from the blade.

This weapon can be dropped by Lion Imps (2% chance) in the Scorpion River Catacombs and Fog Rift Catacombs.
