The Forked Greatsword is a Greatsword in Elden Ring.

When to Use It

Mid game. It is found around Liurnia of the Lakes, which opens up past Stormveil Castle, so it arrives once a build has taken shape.

Upgrades

Ordinary Smithing Stones carry it all the way to +25, and because it is not a Somber weapon it will also hold a grease or a weapon buff, which is a damage source the unique blades simply do not have.

Build

Its scaling runs Str at D and Dex at D, so Str and Dex are the stats worth levelling, and you need Str 14 and Dex 16 before you can lift it. Any Ash of War and any affinity will sit on it, so its scaling can be re-cut towards whichever stat you are already levelling. It also inflicts blood loss buildup on its own, with no infusion needed.

Notes

Oddly shaped greatsword wielded by imps. The gently undulating forked blade is known as an "imp's tongue" and causes blood loss.

How to Get Forked Greatsword Guide

Wolf Head Imp golems have a 2% chance (at 100 discovery) to drop this weapon.
One such Imp can be found immediately near the Site of Grace in the Road's End Catacombs.
