The Banished Knight's Greatsword is a Greatsword in Elden Ring. It is a mid-game find.

The Banished Knight's Greatsword is a finely crafted greatsword engraved with an ancient motif, given to knights forced to abandon their homes and sent to the fringes. Banished Knights drop it at a low rate, with farming spots in Stormveil Castle near the Rampart Tower and near the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Caelid. It shares an alternate greatsword moveset with the Knight's Greatsword and Inseparable Sword, with special two-handed light attacks. It hits harder and staggers more than most greatswords, with good reach and attacks that hit several enemies at once, and it needs almost no Dexterity. It suits an early pure Strength build or a powerstance of two.

Skill

Stamp costs 5 / 8 FP. The wielder braces the weapon and stamps into a low stance that keeps most enemy attacks from staggering the wielder, letting the wielder absorb a hit. Following with a strong attack unleashes a heavy upward strike for extra FP, while a normal attack instead flows into the second swing of the light combo at no FP cost. It is the weapon's default Ash of War, so another can take its place.

A pure Strength greatsword, two-handed or powerstanced as a pair, that breaks poise with heavy swings and jump attacks.
