The NetWatch Netdriver is a cyberdeck for netrunners who hack through the city's own machines. Combat quickhacks sent through cameras and other devices hit harder and last longer. Quickhacks on devices and vehicles cost half the RAM. Uploads through cameras are also harder to trace back to V. It suits a careful Intelligence build that fights from a camera feed instead of the front line. The NetWatch Netdriver is a late game Iconic cyberdeck, sold by every ripperdoc in Night City and Dogtown from level 40.
Effect
A cyberdeck is an operating system that lets V use quickhacks. Each quickhack costs RAM, and the deck sets how much RAM V has. The Netdriver arrives at Tier 5 with a large RAM pool, plenty of quickhack slots and a full buffer.
The Netdriver's bonuses all center on devices. V can hack a security camera and then upload quickhacks to enemies the camera can see. Quickhacks sent through a camera are a fifth harder to trace. Enemies therefore take longer to trace V's position.
Combat quickhacks sent through any device gain extra damage and a longer effect. At Tier 5 the damage bonus is fifteen percent, and the effect lasts a fifth longer. At Tier 5++ the damage bonus doubles and the effect lasts half again as long.
Quickhacks aimed at devices and vehicles cost half as much RAM. Turning off cameras, setting off machines and taking over turrets becomes cheap. Vehicle quickhacks also cost less, so V can take control of cars or blow them up with less RAM.

Upgrades
The NetWatch Netdriver comes at Tier 5, Tier 5+ and Tier 5++. Tier 5+ doubles the damage bonus for combat quickhacks sent through devices. Tier 5++ raises the duration bonus. RAM, quickhack slots and buffer stay the same at every tier. The capacity cost also stays the same at every tier. A ripperdoc can upgrade the installed deck with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++.
The table shows what each tier step of NetWatch Netdriver costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 5 to Tier 5+ | 75 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5+ to Tier 5++ | 200 Tier 5 components | Phantom Liberty |
Character Builds
The NetWatch Netdriver belongs in an Intelligence build. Eye In The Sky highlights nearby cameras and Access Points. It also makes Control quickhacks, Covert quickhacks and Distract Enemies cheaper and longer when uploaded through a camera. Encryption lowers the traceability of all quickhacks. Warning: Explosion Hazard adds explosion damage from hacked devices. Carhacker unlocks quickhacks for vehicles, which the Netdriver makes cheaper.
Hack Queue and Queue Acceleration let V stack quickhacks on a single enemy. Queue Acceleration also lowers the RAM cost of quickhacks on devices and vehicles. Overclock lets V keep hacking with too little RAM by paying with Health. For cyberware, RAM implants such as the Camillo RAM Manager and the RAM Reallocator restore RAM when it runs low.
Lore
NetWatch builds the Netdriver line. Its in-game description says the best NetWatch agents use this series of cyberdecks. The text calls it a frightening beast in terms of offensive power. It ends with a warning: it is best if NetWatch never catches the owner using one. The deck on sale is listed as the Netdriver Mk.1.
Notes
- The Netdriver fills the operating system slot, so it replaces a Sandevistan or a Berserk.
