The Moore Tech Berserk is the simplest and lightest Berserk in Night City. It does the core job of every Berserk. While it runs, V takes much less damage and Health stays above a quarter. When it ends, every kill made during the window heals V. It suits a melee character who wants a safety button but needs most of the Cyberware Capacity for other implants. The Moore Tech Berserk is an early game operating system, sold by ripperdocs in Night City from level 10.
Effect
A Berserk is an operating system that V switches on once it is charged. While the Moore Tech Berserk is active, V takes much less damage from every hit. Health also cannot drop below a quarter, so V cannot die while it runs. In exchange, V is limited to melee weapons, and items such as Health items are locked. Melee attacks cost no Stamina during the effect.
When the effect ends, V regains a quarter of max Health for each enemy neutralized while it ran. Four kills refill V completely. Starting it in the middle of a crowd heals the most, since many enemies can fall before the window closes.
The damage reduction starts at thirty percent at Tier 2. It climbs to half of all incoming damage at Tier 5++. The window lasts eight seconds at first and grows to eleven. The cooldown starts at a full minute and shrinks at the higher tiers.
The Moore Tech Berserk is built for survival. Other Berserk models add attack speed, critical hits or full invulnerability in return for a higher capacity cost.

Upgrades
The Moore Tech Berserk comes in Tiers 2 to 5, with plus steps in between. Each tier raises the damage reduction and lengthens the window. The cooldown also shrinks as it is upgraded. The capacity cost stays the same at every tier, and it is the lightest of any Berserk. Ripperdoc stock moves up a tier at levels 20, 30 and 40. A ripperdoc can upgrade the installed implant with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++.
The table shows what each tier step of Moore Tech Berserk costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 2 to Tier 2+ | 30 Tier 2 components | - |

Character Builds
The Moore Tech Berserk is attuned to Body, and it suits a melee build with high Body. In the Body tree, Quake lets V slam the ground and stagger nearby enemies. Finisher: Savage Sling unlocks a Blunt Weapon Finisher that restores Health. Wrecking Ball cuts the Stamina cost of blunt attacks. In the Reflexes tree, Finisher: Bladerunner unlocks a Blade Finisher that restores Health. Flash And Thunderclap makes Strong Attacks leap to nearby enemies. Dash helps V close the gap before the window starts.
The light capacity cost leaves room for other implants. A build can pair it with costly Integumentary or Skeleton implants that raise Armor. From the Technical Ability tree, Ticking Time Bomb sets off a charged EMP each time an operating system starts. Extended Warranty adds duration to all cyberware effects. Cooldown cyberware such as the Newton Module or Axolotl brings the Berserk back sooner.
