The Militech Paraline is the cyberdeck V starts the game with. Like every cyberdeck, it lets V upload quickhacks to enemies and devices while scanning. Its higher tiers reward a hybrid fighter who mixes quickhacks with Smart weapons or the Monowire. At its highest tier, Overclock turns every Smart bullet and every Monowire hit into a source of extra Electrical damage. It suits a combat netrunner who wants to hack and fight at the same time. The Militech Paraline is in V's hands from the main job The Rescue, and every ripperdoc sells it throughout the game.
Effect
A cyberdeck is an operating system that lets V use quickhacks. Each quickhack costs RAM, and the deck sets how much RAM V has. The deck also sets how many quickhacks V can carry and the size of its buffer. The Paraline's RAM, quickhack slots and buffer all grow with each tier.
The Paraline adds a new bonus at each tier. At Tier 2, quickhacks deal a tenth more damage. At Tier 3, the Monowire deals more damage for every unit of RAM V has already spent. The bonus caps at thirty percent. At Tier 4, shooting an enemy with a Smart weapon speeds up a quickhack that is still uploading to that enemy.
The Tier 5 bonus needs Overclock, an Intelligence perk. While Overclock is active, Smart weapons and the Monowire deal bonus Electrical damage with each hit. The bonus is a quarter of the hit's damage at Tier 5. It rises to sixty percent at Tier 5++.
The bonuses work as a chain. V spends RAM on quickhacks, which powers up the Monowire. Smart weapon fire speeds up the next upload. Overclock then adds Electrical damage to both weapons.
How to Get Militech Paraline Guide
- Start the game. V carries a Tier 1 Paraline from the main job The Rescue.
- Buy a higher tier from any ripperdoc as V levels up.
- Upgrade it at a ripperdoc with crafting components.

Upgrades
The Militech Paraline comes in every tier from Tier 1 to Tier 5++. Each tier unlocks a new bonus and raises RAM, quickhack slots and buffer size. Tier 5+ and Tier 5++ raise only the Overclock bonus. The capacity cost stays the same at every tier. Ripperdocs stock a higher tier every ten levels, from Tier 2 at level 10 to Tier 5 at level 40. A ripperdoc can upgrade the installed deck with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++.
The table shows what each tier step of Militech Paraline costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 to Tier 1+ | 75 Tier 1 components | - |

Character Builds
The Militech Paraline belongs in an Intelligence build. Overclock lets V cast quickhacks with too little RAM by paying with Health. It also unlocks the Tier 5 bonus. Hack Queue lets V stack two quickhacks on one enemy. Siphon makes Monowire attacks recover RAM. Finisher: Live Wire unlocks a Monowire Finisher that restores Health and RAM.
Smart weapon users get help from the same tree. Smart Synergy gives instant target lock and extra damage to Smart weapons while Overclock is active. Targeting Prism lets Smart weapons lock onto more targets. Recirculation restores RAM after a Smart weapon kill.
For cyberware, the Monowire fills the arms slot and gains the most from the Tier 3 and Tier 5 bonuses. With Phantom Liberty, the Data Tunneling relic perk spreads a Monowire-uploaded quickhack to other enemies hit by the same Monowire attack.
Select a Build
The Monowire whips several enemies at once from a short distance, and quickhacks are uploaded between attacks. Intelligence perks give the Monowire more damage and return RAM on hits. Overclock spends Health in place of RAM when a fight drags on.

Lore
Militech builds the Paraline. Its in-game description is modest. The text says it is not the most powerful cyberdeck on the market. It adds that the deck can handle many tasks, even if it needs a little patience. Each tier carries its own model number, from Mk.1 at Tier 1 to Mk.5 at Tier 5.
Notes
- The Paraline fills the operating system slot, so it replaces a Sandevistan or a Berserk.
