The Leeroy Ligament System makes V faster all the time. Its speed bonus stays the same from the first step to the end of a long run. Fast builds that rush into close range, dodge bullets or chase down enemies get the most out of it. It comes early compared with most Iconic implants, so a speed build can run it for almost the whole of Phantom Liberty. It also adds a layer of armor to the legs. The Leeroy Ligament System is an early Phantom Liberty implant, sold by the ripperdocs in Dogtown from about level 10 and found in Dogtown airdrops.
Effect
The Leeroy Ligament System is a passive implant. It raises V's movement speed by a fixed percentage. The bonus covers all movement, not only sprinting. The bonus stays constant, so V stays fast through a whole fight. At its lowest tier the bonus is a little over a tenth. At Tier 5++ it reaches a fifth.
Jenkins' Tendons work differently. Their sprint bonus starts high and drops to a small bonus after five seconds of sprinting. The bonus then recovers when V stops sprinting. The Leeroy Ligament System gives less speed at the very start of a sprint. It gives more speed over a long run and while walking or fighting.
The implant also adds armor. The armor grows with each tier.

Upgrades
The Leeroy Ligament System comes in every tier from Tier 2 to Tier 5++. Each step raises the speed bonus a little and adds armor. Ripperdocs in Dogtown stock a higher tier every ten levels. A ripperdoc can also upgrade it with crafting components up to Tier 5++. The legs hold a single implant. The Leeroy Ligament System therefore replaces Reinforced Tendons, which give a double jump, and Fortified Ankles, which give a charged jump.
The table shows what each tier step of Leeroy Ligament System costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
The Leeroy Ligament System suits any build that wins by moving. The Reflexes perk Slippery makes V harder to shoot the faster V moves. Dash and Air Dash help V cover ground even faster. Flash Of Steel adds more movement speed after a Finisher. In the Cool tree, Ninjutsu adds movement speed. Quick Getaway adds speed after a quiet kill. In the Body tree, Juggernaut adds movement speed while Adrenaline Rush is active.
Other cyberware can add even more speed. The Adrenaline Converter and the Adreno-Trigger add movement speed when combat starts.

Lore
The Leeroy Ligament System is the Iconic variant of Jenkins' Tendons. Both implants make V faster, but they work in different ways. Jenkins' Tendons give a big burst of sprint speed that fades after a few seconds of sprinting. The Leeroy Ligament System trades that burst for a steady bonus. It is one of the Iconic implants that arrived with Phantom Liberty.
Notes
- Jenkins' Tendons are the base implant. They give a short, strong burst of sprint speed instead of a steady bonus.
