NeoFiber

| Class | Nervous System |

| Capacity | 14 |
NeoFiber makes V harder to hurt by raising both parts of Mitigation at once. It adds Mitigation Chance, so more hits get reduced. It also adds Mitigation Strength, so each reduced hit deals even less damage. The bonus is always on. It suits a Reflexes build that stacks Mitigation, and it adds a little Crit Chance for each point of Reflexes. NeoFiber is a mid game implant that every ripperdoc sells from level 20.
Effect
Mitigation gives each incoming hit a chance to deal less damage. Mitigation Chance decides how often that happens. Mitigation Strength decides how much damage is removed, and it starts at 50%. NeoFiber raises both values.
Many Mitigation perks work only in one situation, such as while crouched, while Dashing or while Stamina is high. NeoFiber works all the time. It adds a steady base that the situational bonuses build on.
NeoFiber is attuned to Reflexes. Each point of Reflexes adds a small amount of Crit Chance.
How to Get NeoFiber Guide
- Reach level 20.
- Visit any ripperdoc clinic and open a Nervous System slot.
- Buy and install NeoFiber.

Upgrades
Ripperdocs sell NeoFiber at Tier 3 from level 20, Tier 4 from level 30 and Tier 5 from level 40. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier raises both Mitigation bonuses. Each copy also carries small stat bonuses. The Driver Update perk adds one more. The Chipware Connoisseur perk offers a choice of bonuses when V upgrades the implant. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of NeoFiber costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 2 to Tier 3 | 22 Tier 3 components | - |
| Tier 3 to Tier 3+ | 30 Tier 3 components | - |
| Tier 3+ to Tier 4 | 22 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4 to Tier 4+ | 30 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4+ to Tier 5 | 22 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5 to Tier 5+ | 30 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5+ to Tier 5++ | 75 Tier 5 components | Phantom Liberty |
Character Builds
NeoFiber works best with other sources of Mitigation. The Kinetic Frame in the Skeleton adds Mitigation Chance while Stamina is above 85%. In Reflexes, Can't Touch This adds a large Mitigation Chance bonus during a Dash. Aerodynamic raises Mitigation Strength in midair.
The Cool tree holds several Mitigation perks. Feline Footwork adds Mitigation Chance while crouched. Small Target adds it while crouched and standing still. Unexposed adds it while aiming from cover. Serpentine adds it while crouch-sprinting. Blind Spot makes enemies slower to detect a crouched V the higher V's Mitigation Chance is.
In Body, Dorph-Head adds Mitigation Chance for a moment after V uses a Health Item or Blood Pump. Don't Stop Me Now adds Mitigation Chance and Strength while Stamina is below 33% with shotguns and machine guns.

Gorilla Arms punch enemies apart up close, and Body perks turn sprints and jumps into charges and ground slams. Air Dashes cover the distance to the next group. A shotgun handles enemies that stay out of reach.
