The Adreno-Trigger gives V a burst of speed the moment a fight starts. It is the Iconic variant of the Adrenaline Converter, and its boost lasts far longer. Every point of Reflexes stretches that boost even further. Fast melee builds and run and gun builds get the most out of it. It suits any character who wants to close the gap or reach cover before enemies settle in. The Adreno-Trigger is a mid to late game implant from Phantom Liberty, sold by the ripperdocs in Dogtown and found in Dogtown airdrops.
Effect
The Adreno-Trigger is a passive implant that switches on by itself. When V enters combat, movement speed rises for a set time. The Adrenaline Converter gives a short burst of a few seconds. The Adreno-Trigger keeps the bonus active for much longer, which covers most of a firefight. Its top speed bonus is a little lower than the best Adrenaline Converter, but it lasts many times as long.
The implant is attuned to Reflexes from Tier 3 onward. Each Reflexes point adds three seconds to the speed bonus. A character with high Reflexes keeps the extra speed for well over a minute. This makes Reflexes the clear attribute for anyone who runs it.
Its extra stat bonuses lean toward explosions. The first bonus raises Explosion Damage. A second bonus to Damage Over Time arrives at higher tiers. A third bonus to Grenade Recharge Speed needs the Driver Update perk.
How to Get Adreno-Trigger Guide
- Install Phantom Liberty and reach Dogtown.
- Visit a ripperdoc in Dogtown from level 20 to buy it at Tier 3.
- Return at level 30 for Tier 4 and at level 40 for Tier 5.
- Loot it from an airdrop cache in Dogtown, marked by red smoke.

Upgrades
The Adreno-Trigger comes in Tiers 3, 4 and 5, with plus steps in between. Each step lengthens the speed bonus, and the higher tiers also raise the speed itself. The capacity cost stays the same at every tier. A ripperdoc can upgrade it with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++. Levelling up and Cyberware Capacity Shards both raise the capacity needed to fit it. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at a cost in max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Adreno-Trigger costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 3 to Tier 3+ | 30 Tier 3 components | - |
| Tier 3+ to Tier 4 | 22 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4 to Tier 4+ | 30 Tier 4 components | - |
| Tier 4+ to Tier 5 | 22 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5 to Tier 5+ | 30 Tier 5 components | - |
| Tier 5+ to Tier 5++ | 75 Tier 5 components | Phantom Liberty |
Character Builds
The Adreno-Trigger works best in a Reflexes build that moves constantly. Dash replaces the dodge with a longer move that covers more ground. Air Dash adds a dash in midair. Mad Dash doubles the Dash range toward enemies. Slippery makes V harder to shoot the faster V moves, so the speed bonus also works as defense. Multitasker lets V shoot while sprinting, sliding and vaulting, so the extra speed never stops the shooting.
For other cyberware, the Leeroy Ligament System raises movement speed all the time, and the two bonuses work together. Blade users who dash into crowds gain the most. Shotgun and SMG users who fight at close range also benefit, because the bonus helps them reach the right distance quickly.
Select a Build
The build deals huge damage at close range with shotguns and obliterates enemies outright. Health regen and Adrenaline Rush keep the character alive. Borzaya handles anything further away.

Lore
The Adreno-Trigger shares its in-game line with the Adrenaline Converter: "Be in two places at once. Almost." The line sums up what the implant does. It floods V with speed so that V seems to be in two places at the same moment. It belongs to the set of Iconic implants that arrived with Phantom Liberty and are sold only inside Dogtown.
Notes
- The Adrenaline Converter is the base implant. It is sold by every ripperdoc and costs far less capacity, but its boost ends after a few seconds.
