| Attribute | Cool |
| Capacity | 6 |
The Adrenaline Converter gives V a sharp burst of speed the moment a fight starts. For a few seconds, V moves much faster than normal. That burst helps V close the distance to an enemy or get out of a bad spot before the shooting gets going. It suits fast melee builds and any character who wants to act first. It costs very little capacity, so it fits almost any build. The Adrenaline Converter is an early to late game implant, sold by every ripperdoc in Night City and Dogtown from the start of the game.
Effect
The Adrenaline Converter triggers on its own when V enters combat. It raises movement speed for a short time. At Tier 1 the bonus is a fifth for three seconds. At Tier 5++ it reaches forty percent for nine seconds. Each step raises either the speed or the duration.
The burst comes at the very start of a fight. A melee fighter can use it to cross open ground and reach the first enemy. A gunfighter can use it to dash to cover before enemies take aim. Once the burst ends, V moves at normal speed again until the next fight.
The implant is attuned to Cool. Each Cool point adds a small bonus to headshot and weakspot damage. A character with full Cool gains a few percent of extra damage on every headshot.
How to Get Adrenaline Converter Guide
- Visit any ripperdoc from the start of the game to buy it at Tier 1.
- Return every ten levels for a higher tier.
- Upgrade it at a ripperdoc with crafting components.

Upgrades
The Adrenaline Converter comes in every tier from Tier 1 to Tier 5++. Each step raises the speed bonus or lengthens the burst. The capacity cost stays low and the same at every tier. Ripperdocs stock a higher tier every ten levels, from Tier 2 at level 10 to Tier 5 at level 40. A ripperdoc can upgrade it with crafting components, which is the only way to reach Tier 5++.
The table shows what each tier step of Adrenaline Converter costs at a ripperdoc.
| Upgrade | Components | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 to Tier 1+ | 10 Tier 1 components | - |
| Tier 1+ to Tier 2 | 7 Tier 2 components | - |

| Tier 5+ to Tier 5++ | 25 Tier 5 components | Phantom Liberty |
Character Builds
The Adrenaline Converter suits any build that moves a lot. Dash and Air Dash help V cover even more ground during the burst. Slippery makes V harder to shoot the faster V moves. Flash And Thunderclap makes Strong Attacks leap to nearby enemies, which pairs with a fast approach. In the Cool tree, Focus and Deadeye also raise headshot and weakspot damage.
For other cyberware, the Leeroy Ligament System adds a steady movement speed bonus in addition to the burst. The Adrenaline Converter sits in one of the three Nervous System slots, so it can share space with implants such as the Kerenzikov or the Revulsor.

Lore
The Adrenaline Converter's in-game line is short: "Be in two places at once. Almost." The line points to the burst of speed at the start of a fight. The Adreno-Trigger from Phantom Liberty is its Iconic variant and shares the same line.
Notes
- The Adreno-Trigger is the Iconic variant. Its burst is smaller, but it lasts far longer.
