Reinforced Tendons let V jump a second time in midair. The double jump opens up rooftops, ledges and balconies that are out of reach with a normal jump. In a fight, it lets V hop over cover, dodge across gaps and reach high ground quickly. It also makes exploring Night City faster. A Reflexes character also gains crit chance from it for each point of Reflexes. Reinforced Tendons are an early game implant that every ripperdoc in Night City and Dogtown sells from level 10.
Effect
Reinforced Tendons add a double jump. V jumps as normal, then presses Jump again while in the air to jump a second time. The second jump adds extra height.
The double jump makes travel through the city faster. V can climb onto containers, fences and low roofs without searching for a ladder. In combat, a double jump can carry V onto a ledge above the enemy or across a gap that blocks the way.
Reinforced Tendons are attuned to Reflexes. Each point of Reflexes adds 0.1% crit chance. At 20 Reflexes, that is 2% more crit chance with every attack.
The implant also adds a block of armor that rises with each tier. Its stat bonuses add a Health Regen bonus and, from Tier 2, Explosion Damage Resistance.
How to Get Reinforced Tendons Guide
- Reach level 10.
- Visit any ripperdoc clinic in Night City or Dogtown and open the Legs slot.
- Buy and install Reinforced Tendons.

Upgrades
Ripperdocs sell Reinforced Tendons at Tier 2 from level 10, Tier 3 from level 20, Tier 4 from level 30 and Tier 5 from level 40. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Higher tiers add armor and stronger stat bonuses. The double jump itself is the same at every tier. The Driver Update perk adds one more stat bonus. The Chipware Connoisseur perk offers a choice of bonuses when V upgrades the implant. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Reinforced Tendons costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
Reinforced Tendons belong in a Reflexes build that moves a lot. Air Dash unlocks dashing in midair, so V can jump twice and then dash. Tailwind restores Stamina after every Air Dash and every Double Jump. Aerial Acrobat improves control in midair. Aerodynamic adds Mitigation Strength while V is in the air.
Blade users get extra value from height. Flash And Thunderclap makes strong attacks leap at enemies, and these Leap Attacks can start from midair. The Kerenzikov with the Air Kerenzikov perk keeps V hanging in the air while time slows, which gives time to aim from above.
A Body build can use the height too. The Quake perk can be performed from midair as a Superhero Landing. Epicenter then raises its damage and area with the height of the fall.
The Legs slot holds only one implant. Reinforced Tendons compete with Lynx Paws, Fortified Ankles and Jenkins' Tendons for it.

Each fight starts with Overclock, then a control quickhack, then a combat quickhack. Smart guns lock on and finish the hacked enemies while Dashes and air Dashes keep the character moving. Silenced Smart guns and stealthy quickhacks also handle quiet gigs.

Ping reveals enemies behind walls, and Tech weapon shots pierce the cover between them. A charged shot released at the click of Bolt deals the most damage. With a Militech Sandevistan, the charge starts first and time slows at half charge so the Bolt shot lands as a headshot.
