Lynx Paws make V's footsteps much quieter and speed up movement while crouched. They are built for stealth, where every sound and every second spent sneaking counts. They also cut the damage V takes from falls. A Cool character who sneaks through hideouts gets the most out of them. They also add headshot and weak spot damage for each point of Cool. Lynx Paws are an early game implant that every ripperdoc sells from level 10.
Effect
Lynx Paws have three effects, and all of them are always on. Movement becomes 50% quieter, so enemies are less likely to hear V moving nearby. Crouched movement speed rises, so V can creep from cover to cover faster. Fall damage drops by 20%.
The quieter steps and faster crouch work together. A sneaking V reaches a target sooner and makes less noise on the way. The fall damage cut helps when V drops from a ledge or a rooftop.
The implant also adds a block of armor. The armor rises with each tier.
Lynx Paws are attuned to Cool. Each point of Cool adds headshot and weak spot damage.

Upgrades
Ripperdocs sell Lynx Paws from level 10, and the tier they stock rises every 10 levels. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier raises the crouched movement speed bonus and the armor. Each copy also carries small stat bonuses. The Driver Update perk adds one more. The Chipware Connoisseur perk offers a choice of bonuses when V upgrades the implant. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Lynx Paws costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
Lynx Paws belong in a Cool build that relies on stealth. Feline Footwork adds movement speed and Mitigation Chance while crouched. Ninjutsu unlocks crouch-sprinting, which moves V faster while staying silent. Shinobi Sprint cuts the Stamina cost of crouch-sprinting in combat. Serpentine adds Mitigation Chance while crouch-sprinting. Vanishing Act makes Optical Camo turn on by itself during a crouch-sprint or a slide.
Several Cool perks reward a kill made unseen. Killer Instinct adds damage with knives, axes and silenced guns outside of combat. Creeping Death restores Health and Stamina after a kill while V is undetected. Quick Getaway adds movement speed after a kill while undetected.
The Legs slot holds only one implant. Lynx Paws compete with Fortified Ankles, Reinforced Tendons and Jenkins' Tendons for it.

Quickhacks do most of the damage, chained from cover before enemies find the character. The Tetratronic Rippler cyberdeck adds quickhack damage, and Overclock spends Health in place of RAM. A smart weapon or the Monowire finishes anyone left standing.
