Dawnguard Heavy Gauntlets are heavy armor gauntlets from Dawnguard and part of the Dawnguard Heavy Armor set. They have a base armor rating of 13 and weigh 7. Gunmar at Fort Dawnguard sells them after joining the Dawnguard.

Armor Enchantment

Any armor enchantment can be placed on a Dawnguard Heavy Gauntlets at an arcane enchanter.

Every armor enchantment is listed under Enchantment Effects.

Dawnguard Heavy Gauntlets Location

Gunmar, the blacksmith of Fort Dawnguard, sells Dawnguard gear once the Dawnguard side is chosen. Members of the Dawnguard also wear them.

Gameplay Tips

Temper them at a workbench with one Steel Ingot. The Advanced Armors perk doubles the improvement.
Their 13 armor matches Dwarven Gauntlets for 1 less weight.
A full set of Dawnguard armor cuts the damage taken from vampires by 25%.

Smithing Guide

Enchanted weapons require the Arcane Blacksmith Perk to upgrade.

Upgrades

A Dawnguard Heavy Gauntlets is improved at a workbench with one Steel Ingot per improvement. The Advanced Armors perk doubles the improvement, so each quality tier needs less Smithing skill. An enchanted copy can only be improved with the Arcane Blacksmith perk.
