The Tyrosine Injector rewards every stealth takedown with a burst of power. After each takedown, V deals more headshot damage and moves faster for a short time. The boost turns a quiet kill into the start of a fast, deadly chain. A sneaky Cool character who grabs one guard and then shoots the next gets the most from it. Each point of Cool adds more headshot damage as well. The Tyrosine Injector is an early game implant that every ripperdoc in Night City and Dogtown sells from the start, and an early copy waits in a Kabuki stash.
Effect
The Tyrosine Injector triggers on every successful takedown. For 15 seconds after it, V gains extra headshot damage and extra movement speed. At Tier 1 the bonuses are 10% headshot damage and 5% movement speed. At Tier 5 they rise to 21% and 11%.
The 15 second window is long enough to line up a headshot on the next guard. The speed boost helps V reach the next target or slip back into cover before anyone notices. A careful player can chain takedowns and headshots through a whole room.
The Tyrosine Injector is attuned to Cool. Each point of Cool adds 0.2% headshot and weak spot damage. At 20 Cool, that is 4% more damage on every headshot.
Its stat bonuses add Bonus Stealth Damage and, from Tier 2, Aim Speed.

Upgrades
Ripperdocs stock the Tyrosine Injector at Tier 1 below level 10, then Tier 2 from level 10, Tier 3 from 20, Tier 4 from 30 and Tier 5 from 40. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier raises the headshot and movement bonuses. The Driver Update perk adds one more stat bonus. The Chipware Connoisseur perk offers a choice of bonuses when V upgrades the implant. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Tyrosine Injector costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
The Tyrosine Injector belongs in a Cool stealth build. Killer Instinct adds damage with knives, axes and silenced guns outside of combat. A silenced pistol or precision rifle can then use the headshot bonus right after a takedown. Quick Getaway adds movement speed after a kill made while undetected. Deadeye adds more headshot and weak spot damage.
Netrunners who sneak can use it as well. The Shadowrunner perk in Intelligence wipes out trace progress after a takedown. A V who hacks and grabs enemies in turn stays hidden longer.
Other stealth implants pair well with it. Optical Camo makes V hard to see while moving to the next target. The Synaptic Accelerator slows time when an enemy is about to spot V. Lynx Paws make V's steps quieter.
Select a Build
Quickhacks such as Memory Wipe, Reboot Optics and Sonic Shock keep enemies unaware while the character moves through an area. Takedowns trigger the Tyrosine Injector for extra headshot damage. A sniper rifle and a silenced pistol handle the shots that hacking cannot.
Attributes: Body 11, Reflexes 15, Technical Ability 15, Intelligence 20, Cool 20.
