Reflex Tuner

|---|---|
| Class | Nervous System |
| Tier | Tier 1 |
| Attribute | Cool |
The Reflex Tuner slows time on its own when V's Health drops low. It gives V a few seconds to react before the next hit lands. Those seconds are enough to use a Health Item, dive behind cover or finish off the enemy who caused the damage. The implant works with no button press, so it saves V even in a chaotic fight. It suits any build, and a Cool character also gains headshot damage from it. The Reflex Tuner is an early game implant that every ripperdoc in Night City and Dogtown sells from the start.
Effect
The Reflex Tuner triggers when V's Health falls below 25%. Time then slows down for several seconds. Enemies move and shoot more slowly while V acts. After the effect, the implant goes on cooldown.
At Tier 1, the slowdown is 20% for 2 seconds, with a 60 second cooldown. At Tier 5, time slows by 60% and the effect lasts much longer. The cooldown also drops sharply at higher tiers.
The Reflex Tuner is attuned to Cool. Each point of Cool adds 0.2% headshot and weak spot damage. At 20 Cool, that is 4% more damage on every headshot.
Its stat bonuses add Health and, from Tier 2, Aim Speed.
How to Get Reflex Tuner Guide

Upgrades
Ripperdocs stock the Reflex Tuner at Tier 1 below level 10, then Tier 2 from level 10, Tier 3 from 20, Tier 4 from 30 and Tier 5 from 40. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier makes the slowdown stronger and longer and shortens the cooldown. The Driver Update perk adds one more stat bonus. The Chipware Connoisseur perk offers a choice of bonuses when V upgrades the implant. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Reflex Tuner costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
The Reflex Tuner fits any build that wants a safety net. It is a passive implant, so it works alongside an operating system such as a Sandevistan or a Berserk. Bullet Time in Reflexes makes Bullet Deflect cost no Stamina while time is slowed. Deflected bullets then hit enemies for critical damage.
Health perks help V recover during the slow window. Borrowed Time in Technical Ability recharges a Health Item after a kill when V is below 25% Health and out of charges. Field Medic speeds up the use of Health Items in combat. The Extended Warranty perk adds 15% duration to all cyberware effects, which lengthens the slowdown.
Other implants that react to low Health stack well with it. ThreatEvac adds movement speed below 25% Health, which helps V escape during the slowdown. Scar Coalescer adds armor below half Health. Second Heart restores V to full Health once V reaches zero.
Select a Build
A one-handed club and Dashes pick off enemies one by one while Berserk is on cooldown. Once Health drops, Berserk makes the character invulnerable and melee attacks cost no Stamina. Quake slams the ground whenever it is ready and staggers every enemy nearby.
