Stabber raises V's crit chance with blades and throwing weapons. Katanas, knives, machetes and thrown axes all land critical hits more often. Critical hits deal extra damage, so each swing or throw hits harder on average. It suits a Reflexes blade build or a Cool character who throws knives. Each point of Reflexes also adds a little crit chance with every attack. Stabber is an early game implant that every ripperdoc in Night City and Dogtown sells from level 10.
Effect
Stabber is a passive implant. It adds crit chance to every attack with a Blade or a throwable weapon. At Tier 2 the bonus is 10%. At Tier 5 it reaches 20%.
The bonus applies to both melee swings and thrown weapons. Many blade and throwable perks trigger on critical hits. Stabber therefore raises the value of those perks as well.
Stabber is attuned to Reflexes. Each point of Reflexes adds another 0.1% crit chance. At 20 Reflexes, that adds 2% crit chance to every attack.
Its stat bonuses add Melee Damage Resistance and, from Tier 2, Melee Damage.
How to Get Stabber Guide

Upgrades
Ripperdocs sell Stabber at Tier 2 from level 10, Tier 3 from level 20, Tier 4 from level 30 and Tier 5 from level 40. An installed copy can be raised a tier at a ripperdoc with the matching item components. Each tier raises the crit chance bonus. The Driver Update perk adds one more stat bonus. The Chipware Connoisseur perk offers a choice of bonuses when V upgrades the implant. V gains Cyberware Capacity with each level and from Cyberware Capacity Shards. The Edgerunner perk lets V go over the limit at the cost of some max Health.
The table shows what each tier step of Stabber costs at a ripperdoc.

Character Builds
Stabber fits two kinds of builds. A Reflexes blade build uses katanas, knives and machetes up close. Lead And Steel lowers the Stamina cost of blade attacks and lets blades block bullets. Finisher: Bladerunner unlocks a blade Finisher that restores Health. Flash Of Steel adds movement speed and attack speed after a Finisher. Slaughterhouse makes every attack apply Bleeding.
A Cool build throws knives and axes instead. Scorpion Sting makes critical hits, headshots and weak spot hits with thrown weapons apply Poison. Juggler resets all throwable cooldowns after a kill made with a critical hit, a headshot or Poison. Sleight Of Hand adds crit damage each time Juggler fires. Parasite restores Health on a critical hit with a thrown weapon. Style Over Substance guarantees critical hits with throwables while crouch-sprinting, sliding, dodging or Dashing.
Select a Build
The build opens from stealth and removes a few targets before the fight starts. Headshots and crits with thrown knives bring the knife back to hand through Juggler. When the character is detected, the Sandevistan or Kerenzikov slows time to finish the enemies who spotted it.
Attributes: Body 18, Reflexes 20, Technical Ability 20, Intelligence 3, Cool 20.
