The Messmer Soldier Shield is a worn roundshield carried by soldiers loyal to Messmer the Impaler, the largest of the metal shields in its class. It drops from shield-wielding Messmer Soldiers in camps across the Gravesite Plain and Scadu Altus and inside Castle Ensis and the Shadow Keep. It offers full physical negation with a high guard boost for a light shield, weighing 5 and needing only 10 Strength, and it carries No Skill as its default. Its light weight and low requirement suit builds that want a defensive option without much Strength investment. It suits Strength or Dexterity characters who mix dual wielding with blocking or parrying.

Carried as a light defensive option for blocking, block counters or parries with Storm Wall, while the main hand does the damage.
