Widow Maker is Nash's rifle, an Iconic Militech Achilles that V takes from the Raffen who betrayed Panam Palmer. It is a Tech precision rifle that fires two projectiles per shot. It deals Chemical damage with a raised chance to Poison. Charged shots also deal extra damage. With Poison and hard-hitting charged shots, it is a strong mid-range rifle for a Tech build. Panam's story offers two chances to get it, so it is hard to miss. Widow Maker is a mid-game drop from Nash in the Badlands. He drops it during the main job Ghost Town or later in Queen of the Highway.
Combat
Widow Maker fires two projectiles with every pull of the trigger. Both deal Chemical damage, and each has a raised chance to Poison the target. Poison deals damage over time, so even a target that ducks into cover keeps losing Health.
As a Tech weapon, the rifle can be charged. Holding the trigger builds up the shot, and a charged shot deals more damage than a quick one. A fully charged Tech shot also goes through cover and thin walls. V can poison and damage enemies who think they are safe behind a crate.
Precision rifles are semi-automatic marksman rifles that reach further than an assault rifle. Widow Maker works best in mid-range fights in the open, such as in the Badlands, where V can stay back and choose targets.

Character Builds
Widow Maker uses perks from two attribute trees, Cool and Technical Ability. Cool covers precision rifles. Focus and Deadeye add headshot damage. Long Shot keeps damage high at any range while Deadeye is active. Nerves Of Tungsten-Steel guarantees crits on headshots. Technical Ability covers Tech weapons. Bolt speeds up charging and adds charged-shot damage. In Charge stops the rifle from firing on its own at full charge. Shock Value lets Bolts ignore armor. Chain Lightning turns Bolts into Electrical arcs that jump to nearby enemies.
For cyberware, Kiroshi Stalker Optics connect to a Tech weapon and highlight enemies behind cover while aiming. They work very well with charged shots through walls. The Feedback Circuit restores Health whenever a fully charged Tech shot hits. The Electromag Recycler restores both Health and Stamina on the same kind of hit.
Select a Build
Ping reveals enemies behind walls, and Tech weapon shots pierce the cover between them. A charged shot released at the click of Bolt deals the most damage. With a Militech Sandevistan, the charge starts first and time slows at half charge so the Bolt shot lands as a headshot.

Lore
Nash was one of the Wraiths, a Raffen Shiv gang in the Badlands. He was Panam Palmer's partner until he betrayed her and stole her car. In Ghost Town, V helps Panam get her car back in the ghost town of Rocky Ridge. After that, V can choose whether to help Panam hunt Nash down.
If V agrees, the two attack the Raffen hideout at the mines. Nash fights back with his rifle, and he drops it when he dies. If V refuses, Nash lives to fight another day. He turns up again much later in Queen of the Highway, during Panam's final confrontation with the Raffen. He drops the rifle there instead.
The item text sums it up with a dry joke. It calls Widow Maker the rifle of a cagey Raffen who was not cagey enough. Its Iconic text adds that Nash will not be needing it any more.
Notes
- Achilles x-MOD2 is the other Iconic built on the Militech Achilles.
