The Kolac is a heavy precision rifle from Rostović, a Serbian arms maker. It is a large-calibre, semi-automatic rifle that rewards slow, aimed shots. Every hit lands hard, and the precision rifle perks add even more damage on headshots. V gets the Kolac as Hypercritical, its Iconic variant. Tiny Mike lets V take that rifle during the gig Concrete Cage Trap in Kabuki. The Kolac comes from Tiny Mike's hideout in Kabuki, Watson, during the gig Concrete Cage Trap.

Combat

The Kolac fires one heavy round for each pull of the trigger. Its semi-automatic action fires as fast as V can pull the trigger. A bolt-action sniper rifle such as the SPT32 Grad has to work its bolt between shots. The Kolac can fire a second shot much sooner after a miss. As a Power weapon, its bullets can ricochet off hard surfaces and hit enemies at an angle.

Hypercritical adds the explosive rounds of Tiny Mike's mods. Its bullets detonate on impact and can knock enemies down. A knocked-down enemy is an easy target for the next shot. The last round in each magazine always deals critical damage.

Kolac Map Location and Quest Guide

Start the gig Concrete Cage Trap from Regina Jones in Kabuki, Watson.
Go to the residential block in north Kabuki where Militech has Tiny Mike surrounded.
Get past the Militech troops around the block and enter the building.
Find Tiny Mike hiding in the bathroom of his hideout on the second floor.
Talk to Tiny Mike.
Take Hypercritical from the top of the bathroom sink.
Follow Tiny Mike out of the building. His route through the restaurant is optional.
Escort him to the fixer's car and talk to him to finish the gig.

Character Builds

Precision rifles use the Cool tree. Focus removes the Stamina cost of aiming at full Stamina for a short time. Deep Breath slows time for V and enemies while Focus is active. Head To Head resets the Focus timer each time V kills an enemy with a ranged attack. Deadeye raises headshot and weak-spot damage. It also unlocks a mode that boosts them further while Stamina stays high.

Long Shot makes shots deal full damage at any distance while Deadeye is active. High Noon speeds up the next reload after a headshot kill during Deadeye. It also slows time during that reload. Nerves Of Tungsten-Steel turns every headshot during Deadeye into a guaranteed crit. It also adds damage as the distance to the target grows. California Reaper restores Stamina after a headshot kill. Quick Draw speeds up the swap to the rifle and restores Stamina when V swaps in combat.

For cyberware, the Ballistic Coprocessor makes ricochets far more likely and adds ricochet damage. Clutch Padding cuts the Stamina cost of shooting.

Cool Sniper Build

The build keeps its distance and picks enemies off one by one with headshots. The Sandevistan goes on before shooting an Elite, so several headshots land if the first one is not enough. A pistol or shotgun stays on hand for enemies that flank the sniping spot.

Lore

The in-game line calls the Kolac the pride of Serbia's arms industry. It then adds that this makes the rifle kinda above average. The Kolac in Night City belongs to Tiny Mike, who works for the fixer Regina Jones. Tiny Mike turned his rifle into Hypercritical with his own mods. Its in-game text calls the sturdy design and his mods an explosive combination.

Militech is hunting Tiny Mike, and its troops have him trapped in a safehouse in north Kabuki. Armored vehicles and heavily armed corpsec soldiers surround the block. Regina sends V to break through and bring him out alive. Tiny Mike is badly hurt when V finds him. He lets V take his rifle from the bathroom sink.
