Hide Shield
The Hide Shield is a light shield and part of the Hide Armor set. It has a base armor rating of 15 and weighs 4. Copies turn up from level 1 all over Skyrim.

Hide Shield Location
Blacksmiths and general goods merchants sell it from level 1. Chests and other random loot often hold one, and bandits carry it.
Gameplay Tips
- Temper it at a workbench with one Leather.
- From the start of the game, any forge makes it from 4 Leather and 2 Leather Strips.
- The Elven Shield weighs the same 4 and gives 21 armor.
Smithing Guide
Enchanted weapons require the Arcane Blacksmith Perk to upgrade.

A Hide Shield is made at a forge with the None perk.
