Dragonplate Shield Location
Blacksmiths and general goods merchants sell it at high levels. Chests and other random loot hold copies from level 40, and enchanted copies appear from level 41.
Gameplay Tips
- Temper it at a workbench with one Dragon Bone. The Dragon Armor perk doubles the improvement.
- Forge it with the Dragon Armor perk from 3 Dragon Scales, 1 Dragon Bone and one set of Leather Strips.
- Its 34 armor sits between the Ebony Shield at 32 and the Daedric Shield at 36.

Upgrades
A Dragonplate Shield is improved at a workbench with one Dragon Bone per improvement. The Dragon Armor perk doubles the improvement, so each quality tier needs less Smithing skill. An enchanted copy can only be improved with the Arcane Blacksmith perk.
