The Madness Shield is a heavy shield from the Saints & Seducers Creation, forged from Madness Ingots. It has a base armor rating of 38 and weighs 16. It becomes craftable after reading Evethra's Journal.

Madness Shield Location

Any forge makes it after Evethra's Journal is read. Evethra carries the journal at her camp north of Mistwatch, during the quest Amber and Madness Smithing.

Gameplay Tips

Temper it at a workbench with one Madness Ingot. The Ebony Smithing perk doubles the improvement.
Forge it with the Ebony Smithing perk from 4 Madness Ingots, 2 Ebony Ingots and one set of Leather Strips.
Its 38 armor ties Spellbreaker for the highest of any shield, ahead of the Daedric Shield at 36.
