Thunderblood Atgeir is a Nord Atgeir reforged with a Thunderblood Essence. It deals 192 pierce and 45 lightning, 237 damage in all, against the Nord Atgeir's 182. Every hit has a 25% chance to set off chain lightning, and it hits 0.2% harder for every point of health you are missing.
How to Craft
You craft it at a level 4 Black Forge from:
- 1x Nord Atgeir: made by hardening a Cast: Nord Atgeir with Liquid Frost in a Frost Foundry.
- 20x Bloodgold: smelted from Petrified Tissue in a Blast Furnace.
- 1x Thunderblood Essence: drops from Fallen Warriors, which you call up with three Memorial Coal at a Memorial Site.

When to Use It
This is an end game weapon. You can only progress through the Deep North once Fader is dead.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it twice at the Black Forge, and each step needs the station one level higher than the last. The first upgrade costs the per-level amount and the second costs twice that. Quality 4 would cost four times the per-level amount, but it needs a level 7 Black Forge and the forge currently tops out at level 6, so that row is not yet available.

Properties
The primary attack is a three-hit combo, and the last hit deals double damage. The secondary sweeps all around you for normal damage and six times the stagger.
It blocks with 88 armour and parries at 2x.
Holding it lowers your movement speed by 5%.
At quality 1 it deals 192 pierce and 45 lightning, 237 damage in all. That is 90% more than Himminafl at quality 1, which deals 125 and is the hardest-hitting weapon of its kind before the Deep North. Each upgrade adds 10 pierce and 5 lightning, so by quality 3 it reaches 212 pierce and 55 lightning, 267 in all.
A primary attack costs 20 stamina and the secondary costs 40. Its hits have a knockback force of 30.
It weighs 2.5 and has 400 durability, rising to 500 at quality 3.
It blocks with 88 armour, or 176 on a well-timed parry at 2x. Blocking a melee attack knocks the attacker back with a block force of up to 40.
Against Deep North creatures, pierce deals full damage to Elakings, the Eyeless One, Deep North Greydwarves and their Shamans, Hexen, Captive Fulings, Imprisoned Dvergr and Moose. It deals reduced damage to Barka, Fallen Warriors, Gammeltrolls, Skeletons, Krigen, the Shapeless and Tiny Pulps, and Kall Fimbulbringer. Lightning deals extra damage to the Shapeless and Tiny Pulps and reduced damage to Barka and Kall Fimbulbringer. It deals full damage to the rest: Elakings, the Eyeless One, Fallen Warriors, Gammeltrolls, Deep North Greydwarves and their Shamans, Skeletons, Hexen, Krigen, Captive Fulings, Imprisoned Dvergr and Moose.
Quality 4 needs a level 7 Black Forge, one level above the current maximum of 6, so in practice it stops at quality 3.
Crafting it from scratch and taking it to quality 3 costs 70 Bloodgold, 10 Timberwood and 4 Thunderblood Essence, plus a mould and 5 Liquid Frost.
Notes
- The essence drops from Fallen Warriors, which three Memorial Coal call up at a Memorial Site.
- Once it reaches its last quality level, the Forge of Potential can push it further with a Bloodgold Battle Idol.
