Himminafl is made at the Black Forge from Yggdrasil Wood, Refined Eitr and a pair of Seeker mandibles, which puts it about as deep into the Mistlands as a polearm gets. It deals 85 pierce and 40 lightning, and its 125 total damage across all types is the highest of any polearm in the game. In the Mistlands that matters more than it sounds. Seeker, Seeker Brood and Seeker Soldier shrug off blunt, pierce and slash alike but not lightning, so the lightning half is the damage that actually lands. Lightning and pierce also hurt Tick, Blob and Frost Blob more than most things.
How to Craft
Craft it at a level 1 Black Forge from:
- 10x Yggdrasil Wood: Chopped from Yggdrasil shoots in the Mistlands.
- 15x Refined Eitr: Refined from Sap and Soft Tissue at an Eitr Refinery.
- 5x Silver: Smelted from Silver Ore in a Smelter.
- 2x Mandible: Drops from Seeker Soldiers in the Mistlands.

When to Use It
This is mid game gear. It needs Mistlands materials and a Black Forge, so it comes after Yagluth and the sea crossing that follows him. The Ashlands and the Deep North still lie past this point.
Upgrades
You can upgrade it 3 times after crafting, and each level needs the station built one step higher than the last. Every other figure on this page is for quality 1, so this table shows where your own copy sits:

Properties
Its 40 lightning is rarely resisted: only the Skugg, the Barka and Kall Fimbulbringer take half damage from it, and nothing is immune. That makes this the one polearm whose damage avoids the pierce problem the whole class has.
It needs a level 1 Black Forge, so you can make it the day you build the station, while the Black Metal Atgeir needs a Forge built to level 4.
The secondary attack is the real weapon. It deals normal damage but 6x stagger in a circle around you, with no multi-target damage penalty, which is enough to stagger most creatures in the game outright. Use the primary for one target and the secondary for a crowd.
Notes
- The blade sparkles and glows faintly blue at all times. The glow is dim next to a real light source, but it raises your visibility while sneaking by about 10%, half of what a Mistwalker costs.
- The secondary attack looks like a slash but deals pierce.
