The Himminafl is a polearm in Valheim, dealing 85 pierce and 40 lightning. It carries the highest total damage of any polearm in the game, 125 across all types. In the Mistlands that matters more than it sounds: Seeker, Seeker Brood and Seeker Soldier shrug off blunt, pierce and slash alike and not lightning, so the lightning half is the damage that actually lands. Lightning and pierce damage hurts Tick, Blob and Frost Blob more than most things as well.
How to Craft
- Crafted at Black forge, station level 1.
- Costs 10x Yggdrasil wood, 15x Refined eitr, 5x Silver, 2x Mandible at quality 1.
- Materials can be found in the Mistlands biome.
When to Use It
Mid game. It needs Mistlands materials and a Black forge, so it is behind Yagluth and the sea crossing after him. 2 biomes still sit past this one: the Ashlands and the Deep North both carry better gear.
Upgrades
Upgraded 3 times after crafting, each level wanting the station built one step further up than the last. Every figure quoted elsewhere on this wiki is quality 1, so this is the ladder your own copy is somewhere on:

Properties
40 lightning, and lightning is the least resisted damage in the game. One creature resists it and none are immune, which makes this the one polearm whose damage is not fighting the pierce problem the whole class has.
Black forge level 1. Available the day the station is, where the Black metal atgeir needs a Forge built to 4.
The secondary is the weapon. Normal damage, but 6x stagger in a circle around you and no multi-target damage penalty, which is enough to stagger most creatures in the game outright. Primary for one target, secondary for a crowd.
Notes
- The blade sparkles and glows faintly blue at all times. It is dim next to a real light source but raises your visibility while sneaking by about 10%, half what a Mistwalker costs.
- The secondary looks like a slash and deals pierce.
