Wild Dog is Kurt Hansen's light machine gun, an Iconic M2067 Defender taken from the ruler of Dogtown in Phantom Liberty. Every hit it lands raises its fire rate and crit chance for a short time. It grows stronger the longer V holds the trigger. When the magazine finally runs out, its quick melee attack deals massive damage. Wild Dog is a heavy weapon for a Body build that holds its ground, fires without stopping and then hits whatever is left. It drops during the main job Firestarter, and it is missable. Wild Dog is a late Phantom Liberty drop from Kurt Hansen at the EBM Petrochem Stadium in Dogtown, during the main job Firestarter.
Combat
Wild Dog is a Power light machine gun, built to fire many bullets rather than to be precise. Like other heavy weapons, it slightly lowers V's movement speed and jump height while it is out.
The Iconic effect rewards long, steady fire. Every hit adds a little more fire rate and crit chance for a few seconds. Those bonuses stack. A long burst into a crowd keeps getting faster and crits more often. Short taps waste the effect, so Wild Dog works best in a fight with many targets.
The second part of the effect helps with the reload. When the magazine is empty, V's quick melee attack with the gun deals massive damage. Instead of reloading in the middle of a group, V can hit the nearest enemy with the gun. V can then reload once there is room.

Character Builds
Light machine guns use the Body tree. Like A Feather removes the movement penalty for LMGs, which cancels the heavy weapon slowdown. Die! Die! Die! adds crit chance at low Stamina. It also adds fire rate and handling as Stamina drops. Bullet Ballet reduces the spread while moving. Spontaneous Obliteration adds the chance to Obliterate weakened enemies. Onslaught refills part of the magazine after each LMG kill, which keeps a long burst going. Skullcracker raises quick melee damage as Stamina drops, which adds to the empty-magazine melee attack.
For cyberware, Immovable Force and Shock Absorber reduce recoil, which helps keep a long burst on target. Clutch Padding lowers the Stamina cost of shooting. V can then control Stamina for the Body perks that depend on high or low Stamina.
Select a Build
Dashes close the gap so the shotgun can blast enemies at point-blank range. A quick melee hit after a shot boosts the next one through Rip and Tear. The shotgun and LMG perks grow stronger at low Stamina, so the build keeps shooting and dashing without a pause.
Attributes: Body 20, Reflexes 20, Technical Ability 20, Intelligence 3, Cool 18.

Lore
Kurt Hansen runs Dogtown, and his BARGHEST soldiers hold the district. In Firestarter, V and Alex walk into his stadium disguised as the Cassel twins. Hansen tests their cover story over drinks, and V has to stay in character. When Songbird arrives, V must decide whether to help her escape or hand her to Solomon Reed. That choice decides how the night ends.
On the route that sides with Reed, the deception falls apart and Hansen turns on V. Beating him lets V loot his weapons, Wild Dog among them. Hansen's revolver Bald Eagle and his knife Fang come from the same body.
The gun's in-game line suits its owner: this dog has a big appetite, so do not forget to feed it.
Notes
- Wild Dog can be missed in the fight, because V faces Hansen only once.
- Bald Eagle and Fang, Hansen's other Iconic weapons, drop in the same fight.
