The Diadem of the Savant is a unique circlet that counts as a light armor helmet. It has a base armor rating of 7, weighs 4 and makes spells of every school cheaper to cast. It is the reward for solving Shalidor's Maze in the ruins of Labyrinthian.

Diadem of the Savant map location:
The Diadem of the Savant is taken from a dremora at the end of Shalidor's Maze, in the ruins of Labyrinthian.
- Travel to Labyrinthian.
- Enter Shalidor's Maze on the east side of the ruin.
- Take the four staves beside the burnt corpse.
- Cast Magelight on the Sigil of Alteration.
- Cast a Destruction spell on the Sigil of Destruction.
- Cast an Illusion spell on the Sigil of Illusion at the back entrance.
- Cast a Restoration spell on the Sigil of Restoration.
- Kill the dremora and his atronachs.
- Take the Diadem of the Savant from the dremora's body.

Gameplay Tips
The game treats it as clothing for the Mage Armor perk, so it can be worn without losing that bonus.
