Daedric Helmet Location

Chests and other random loot hold copies from level 48, and enchanted copies appear from level 49. The Atronach Forge at the College of Winterhold can also make it from an Ebony Helmet, a Daedra Heart, a Centurion Dynamo Core and a Black Soul Gem. That recipe needs a Sigil Stone placed in the forge instead of the perk.

Gameplay Tips

Temper it at a workbench with one Ebony Ingot. The Daedric Smithing perk doubles the improvement.
Forge it with the Daedric Smithing perk from 3 Ebony Ingots, 1 Daedra Heart and 2 Leather Strips.
Its 23 armor beats the 22 of the Dragonplate Helmet, but it weighs nearly twice as much.
Four Daedric pieces count as a matched set for the Matching Set perk, which adds 25% armor.
